National Panhellenic Conference
Made up of 26 member organizations, the National Panhellenic Conference is the world’s largest umbrella organization specifically charged with advancing the sorority experience.
As values-based organizations, the 26 members of NPC live their missions, with their members providing millions of dollars in philanthropic support to dozens of worthy causes and pursuing millions of additional hours in community service.
NPC also supports a national network of collegiate and alumnae Panhellenic associations that are crucial to nurturing healthy fraternity and sorority communities.
The AUSTIN ALUMNAE PANHELLENIC ASSOCIATION (AAPA)
AAPA is the local community based organization, whose membership is affiliated with the National Panhellenic Conference (NPC). AAPA has been active since 1948 and is composed of alumnae representing most of the 26 NPC member group sororities and fraternities.
Our Kappa Delta sister Laura Brown Shirey is serving as the AAPA President in 2018-19. She can be reached at firstname.lastname@example.org. Meredith Massey is our AAPA alternate delegate. She can be reached at email@example.com
A main goal of the Austin Alumnae Panhellenic Association (AAPA) is to provide financial assistance to undergraduate collegiate women from the Austin area, by providing yearly scholarships. Scholarship recipients are members of National Panhellenic Conference sororities. These are awarded annually and presented at the spring Scholarship and Awards event.
AAPA also holds a recruitment forum in the spring for high school girls interested in the recruitment process. Ashley Westenhover is Kappa Delta’s Panhellenic Reference Chair; she can be reached at firstname.lastname@example.org
