The Williamson County Children's Advocacy Center (WCCAC), one of our local philanthropic beneficiaries, has requested new underwear for girls and boys ages 2 - 17. WCCAC is the only agency in Williamson County providing the very specialized acute and non-acute Sexual Assault Nursing Exams (SANE). As they move from the pilot phase of this service to having nurses on site, they are setting up a “clothes closet” to provide primarily underwear for the victims as the nurse generally has to take the child’s clothing as evidence. If you want to send them a gift card and/or take underwear to them, the address is 1811 SE Inner Loop, Georgetown; it is open to the public during normal business hours. Sigma Epsilon Chapter at UT is participating in Orange Santa through the University Panhellenic Council which is encouraging chapters to donate new and unwrapped toys for babies through teenagers so UT workers who are in need can provide Christmas girls to their immediate family members. To learn more, please visit https://orangesanta.utexas.edu/about. A collection box will be available at the KD house for toy drop-offs through Wednesday, Dec. 5. If you do not have time to shop, you can make a monetary donation online at https://orangesanta.utexas.edu/donations and specify the gift is on behalf of Kappa Delta Sorority.
